This is a question for those who have had acne scar laser surgery. I am referring to the last picture at the bottom of this page.

is it really that dramatic? Can it really get rid of almost every single red mark that well? I have one red mark similar to that guy and would do anything to remove it, or at least make it tiny.
can the surgery be done to only remove one mark, or do you have to have tons?

Hi! Does anybody know anything about laser resurfacing for pitting acne scars? Has anybody had the surgery? How long does it take to heal? How much does it cost? Was it effective? Was it worth it? My acne scars really affect my relationships make me depressed. What are your thoughts?
Or has anyone had punch grafting or excision for their pitting acne scars?
OK. I’m not trying to get rid of acne. I’m trying to get rid of pitting acne scars, like indentations in my skin. They don’t go away from creams or washes!

I have had acne for 4-5 years now and I can’t get rid of it! i wear make up to cover it up but you can still see the bumps and the makeup will only emphasize them after a while… i have tried every cleanser and antibiotics on the face of the earth for this and they wont go away… i have a few scars that i would also want to get rid of… my face has red in many places and pimples, zits, blackheads, some whiteheads and scars, I have oily skin… is laser treatment going to work, or is there some other treatment i can use to prevent acne and scars? Thanks

I don’t think I have that many acne scars, maybe a few but they are not that dark. Some of them have begun to fade away already (thanks to a bleaching agent given to me by my dermatologist). Well, but when I went to my dermatologist today his employees (probably nurses) kept telling me that I had too many dark scars and that my skin was deeply blemished. I didn’t think that was the case but they seemed to have dramatized my condition. Anyhow, they convinced me to go through a treatment called Erbium laser treatment, but I’m not sure if I should go through so much pain and a long recovery period just for moderate facial imperfections. All I want to do is heal the acne scars, not resurfacing or sanding the face. Anyone who is EXPERIENCED enough to give me advice? thanks very much.
